What are the fees charged by StashAway and how are the fees calculated?

We only charge one fee and it’s the management fee. The management fee is calculated as a percentage of your total assets with us, ranging from 0.2% to 0.8% (see our pricing page) and is charged monthly, prorated for the number of days you're invested with us.

What are the other fees charged by third parties?

ETF managers charge a low management fee, averaging 0.15% to 0.25%. We ensure only cost-efficient ETFs are included in all our portfolios.

Our custodian bank charges a currency conversion fee of 0.10% when we convert the HKD into USD to purchase ETFs. This preferential rate compares favourably against the significantly higher currency conversion fees charged by commercial banks (easily between 0.35% to  0.70% depending on the transaction size)
